Virgil Abloh, founder and creative director of Off-White, brand also founded by LVMH, made a collaboration for this Fall-Winter 2020-2021 season with arctic wear “Arcteryx”, Canadian outdoor high-end clothing and sporting goods, with the name reference to Archaeopteryx – prehistoric bird (like some kind of pterodactyl). But of course name “Arcteryx” in France brings an association with famous French comic books. And of course fancy cow pants, huge dresses (the hugest ones again had been given to Gigi Hadid to wear) give very close connection to Obelix – the one of the main characters of this comic book, which is known to be very big.
“Arcteryx and Obelix” collection of Virgil Abloh – Off-White for Fall-Winter 2020-2021 had a surprising reaction of invited guests. The only one thing was missing – a whip. No relation to sexual practices, just to the cows.
