Olivier Rousteing announced opulent and absolutely grandiose event to celebrate 75 years of Maison Balmain. He decided to do the show on Seine. Big public show for thousands Parisians, which will be LIVE for millions spectators online on Tik Tok. Everyone got invited, press-releases distributed to all media, all media got paid, dozen of articles BEFORE and AFTER the show got published online to praise this event and Olivier Rousteing to hide simple and probably quiet unpleasant truth….
To start with, no LIVE show was available on Tik Tok, and basically not too many Parisians were interested in that event. Actually no one, or maybe dozen of friends came to attend. These occasional spectators, who by the big chance were on the banks of Seine to take a sun at the moment when “Balmain Sans Souci” (name of the boat) passed by, were not that interested in this presentation. Olivier Rousteing was so eager to present something, his collection or not, during Haute Couture fashion week, last year got a permission as a guest to do so, but not this year. And specially after scandal with his latest collection – Cruise 2021, which represented again reproduced pieces from 90s. This time he went for Chanel and Moschino. READ MORE HERE.
So he was not accepted this time as a guest to present 75 years of collections of Balmain during Haute Couture fashion week in Paris, even it is digital / virtual event. Not a single news or article was published in online magazine of Federation. He was invited ones in January 2019 to present collection at Haute Couture fashion week. Just this ones…. Balmain Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2019….
At the end of the day Olivier Rousteing, even if this event didn’t have any interest from public, and barge with the super models like Cindy Bruna, didn’t draw any attention, he decided superficially puff it trough the paid articles in media afterwards, with hope to show something which never happen. Well… little barge “Sans Souci” with 12 models on Seine – yes, that happened. That’s all about it.
